Gong Li was formed in Austin, TX in 1997. Mostly Gong Li was Kevin Stack (guitar), Win Wallace (bass), and Hugo Cohn (drums) - Kevin & Win being current members of Gorch Fock - however, through the course of Gong Li's life span the band included;
Tracey Grimsley - Guitar & Vocals
Kate Hogan - Vocals
Brian Stack - Drums
Gong Li recorded a 2 song split 7 inch in February of 1998 at Jeff Pinkus's house in San Marcos, TX
Followed by their Self Titled E.P. in 1999
the full length "Nerker" in 2000
and "Blessed Be" in 2002
