So Geez-frikkin-louizuz! It's been a really long time since we updated the news portion of our site. The Fock has basically been chillin' since all of the touring that we did last year. Tons of shows all over the country. We played the Musicfest NW in Portland & CMJ in NYC and toured both coasts and the midwest. We had great shows and appreciate all of the folks that came out to the shows. After the rigors of finishing THRILLLER and being on the road so much we've been taking it pretty easy until now. We're gearing up for SXSW & FXFY#9 and its gonna be a whole lotta fun. As far as future touring and shows are concerned things are in the planning stages and suffice to say you haven't seen the last of us. Well, sorry for the short littl update but rest assured there'll be more soon! -Thanks-

6/17/06

Well, a few months have passed since our last update and a whole lot has been happening in the world of Gorch Fock. We're getting ready to go on another tour of the mid-west and we're really stoked to be hitting lots of cities that we've never hit before, like Oklahoma City, Wichita, KS, Lawrence, KS, Kansas City, MO, Manhattan, KS, Des Moines, IA, St. Paul, MN, & Little Rock, AR. If you know people in these cities/towns please spread the word and help us get some more folks out to the shows.

We've been playing a lot locally and regionally lately as well. We got to do 3 shows w/ out good friend The Country Teasers and as always that was a blast. We also got to hang out with MC Trachiotomy in NOLA on that little stint and saw a drive-by shooting in Houston. Neat huh? And the local shows at Beerland and Woody's south we're awesome too. Thanks to everyone for coming out and to Megazilla and Conifer for coming to Austin to play.

In new album news, we're so close to finishing the tracking on Thrilller that it's almost painful. The early mixes are really sounding good and this definitely going to be the best record we've put out. And of course our good friends at Australian Cattle God will be putting this out for us. It is set to hit stores on September 12th. We're going to be touring the SW and West Coast to correspond with the release and as soon as we get back from that tour we'll be heading out to Boston for the NEMO festival and at least 1 other show in the Boston area (thanks Honah). Then its back to the South and East Coast for the trip to CMJ.

We've also got Gorch Fock Skateboards for sale at the ACGR Store they are pretty kickass and come w/ a free ACGR sampler (featuring 2 songs from teh new record, early mixes though but still kickass). The Boards are $38 postage paid. What a deal!

Well that's all for now folks - hope to see you at the shows

So, the last 2 months have been busy for us fockers.  Mainly the whole SXSW thing but also we've been working full throttle on our next record, THRILLLER, due out in September on Australian Cattle God.  There's a sample up on the ACGR myspace page for your listening pleasure.  Well SXSW went off  like a bottle rocket this year.  Our showcase w/ Tia Carrera and new label mates The International Playboys was pretty much the place to be that night.  Ye olde Fock played with an unprecedented 10 people on stage plus Lori on films.  Ben Webster of Attack Formation fame sat in on some electronic what-nots and Don Stewart of the Migas and Mico de Noche did a little 4th guitar action.  Good friend, future daddy, and Tia Carrera guitar virtuoso sat in for a song on drums as did Tia's drummer Erik Conn.  Basically there was a whole instrument switching rock orgy that took place towards the end of the set.  Have to say that the whole ACGR crew represented like muthafu*ka that night.

We only played 3 times during SXSW week this year which is actually a big departure from last year and it was way more low key as a result.  Our second show was at the 8th Annual Fuck by Fuck You held this year at the ACGR headquarters affectionately dubbed by them as The Typewriter Museum.  There 18 bands and 15 kegs and seriously at least 1400 people throughout the day.  I think it might have maxed out at about 450 at any one time but that was PACKED.  Here's what CMJ's Chris Weingarten said about FXFY and our performance.  We're #1, We're #1!!

Anyhow, we've got a bunch of Austin shows coming up in the near future and a two week midwest tour coming up in June/July.  Check the shows page for dates and locations and we hope to see you there.

Okay, we know it's been a little while since the last news but its been a busy time and now there's lots to talk about. Well, first as the Austinites out there probably know there were a series of fires in the building where our reheasal space was and that also housed Sweatbox Studios, where we record. Fortuantely the first fire made us get nearly everything out of the building w/ little damage. The next fire pretty much destroyed the places that were spared from the first fire so we really lucked out. We rescued most of the tapes among them Gorch Fock's new recording tentatively titled Thrilller.
We did a little texas run w/ the fellas of Boxcar Satan and had great shows. Thanks to the folks in Houston, Corpus Christi and San Antonio that came out and a had a good time with us. We played at Beerland too and as always had a great time and got to play with some of our friend's from out of town.
Most recently we helped Break in the live music nights at Woody's South. They are doing shows on Friday and Saturday nights. Really fun...Good Food too.
Also, we just got our SXSW 2006 showcase info. The Australian Cattle God Records showcase is going to be at Spirro's Patio (next to Emo's). The ACG bands are as follows:
11:00 - Tia Carrera
12:00 The International Playboys
1:00 Gorch Fock
Some other cool bands like Cardinale and Amplified Heat are playing earlier there for the Arclight Records showcase. We'll also be playing Fuck by Fuck You #8 at the Typewriter Sanctuary which is the outdoor stage/typewriter land behind the ACG office. And we're having a SXSW kickoff show on the 14th of March at Room 710. The lineup will be set soon so stay tuned!!!

What's up peeps. Long time no update I know. Sorry about that. Updates will be coming much more regularly.
Well, how do I quickly sum up the last 3 months in the Fock world. The East coast tour to CMJ went awesome. Our showcase was THE place to be in Brooklyn that night. Everyone in ACG crew ripped. Unfortunately thought the hurricane season got the shows from Florida back to Texas cancelled and it was truly a bummer to have to cancel those show. Thanks a lot Katrina...Bitch.
Anyway, we've been on a little bit of live hiatus working on the third album that will come out next year. It is tentatively titled "Thrilller" and the tracking has been going splendidly so far. We've got some shows in January as we embark on a little regiona Texas Mini-Tour with Boxcar Satan. Can't wait to get on the road with those boys again.
Many of you may be wondering where the Forum went. Well we got hacked and some malicious software was placed on our server so the company that we serve with shut us down. Apparently the site was hacked through the forum so for now the forum is not there. We are trying to figure our some security issues and as soon as we do the forum will be back up and running.
that's all for now.

What's up peeps? Well lots of news in the Fock camp. We're gearing up for another tour up to CMJ and we just got home, whew. The West Coast tour went fantastic. We had a great time and met alot of killer peeps. A few notables showed up to some of our shows too, which ain't bad. Jared of Big Business came out in Seattle, as did our many friends there. Thanks Seattle. You Rock. When the tour hit Elbo Room in SF none other than Jello Biafra was in attendance and was super friendly. Everything went awesome until the desert of California when the van went Kaput. Yeah, major breakdown followed by a blow out followed by another major breakdown unfortunately we missed shows in Las Vegas and El Paso. Sorry y'all we'll try to get to those cities in October when we go back out West.
Also - go to our show tomorrow night. It's free at the Rit'z w/ The Snake Trap, La Mancha, Those Peabody's, Migas and Oh BEAST! I don't know if its possible to live through it. We'll See. That's all for now.
7/31/05
Ohayo Everybody... I know its been a little while on the update, but here goes. They show w/ MarkD and Ghengis Tron was frikkin killer. If you haven't heard Ghengis Tron you should check them out. THy were insane. I don't even really know how to describe them except crazy, but in a good way. Fock is going to be rocking Denton, TX for the first time next weekend so if you know any folks in the Denton - D/FW area tell 'em to come on out. It's gonna be at Rubber Gloves w/ the Invincible Czars, and locals the Wee Beasties and Butterknife. Roaring good times will be had undoubtedly.
In other noteworthy developments our label Australian Cattle God has been accepted for a label showcase at CMJ Music Marathon 2005! We'll be playing with Tia Carrera, Attack Formation, The Arm and the Polysics from Tokyo. It is Sept. 15th at the Trash Bar in Brooklyn. CAN'T WAIT. We love the Trash Bar anyway cuz they've always treated us super well. So it's gonna definitly be a great time. We're also going to be doing a few dates with Bellini and MONO. We'll be with them at Hailey's in Denton, TX on Sept. 31st and at Emo's in Austin on the 1st of Oct.
The Sept. CMJ tour dates are firming up more everyday and will be posted soon as well as the Gorch Fock West Coast 2005 II tour in October. Take it easy greasy...

Hello All...just wanted to clear up a few things that were in the Austin Chronicle today that weren't entirely accurate. The Chronicle mentioned our association with Rough Trade. We are being sold in Rough Trade SHOPS in England. We have not been picked up by the Rough Trade label. Gorch Fock only claimed to be on the "What's Hot" page of the website and being in the stores in London. There were never claims made to any journalist that we we are on the label. We apologize for the miscommunication. In addition the First Gorch Fock record that Australian Cattle God is re-releasing was originally released in 2003, not 2004 like the article said and it was released by Perverted Son Records of Austin Texas, not self-released. The Tia Carrera record that they are releasing was also released originally by Perverted Son.
thanks

So it's Memorial Day and Gorch Fock is nursing a collective hangover after rocking 1,000 people at the Texas Roller Derby last night. THe show went well and the sound was pretty good. The 2004 Roller Derby Champs, the Holy Rollers, took the bout defeating the 2005 expansion team The Cherry Bombs. Joey's rendition of the National Anthem on Trombone to open the bout went really well and the announcers referred to it as one of the best this season. So Joey's off to Teipei for about 3 weeks so Gorch Fock will be on a little bit of a hiatus until July 16th when they will play Room 710 with Mark D.'s yet unnamed band's first show. It ought to be a real wing ding. If you haven't bought the new record yet you should. It's worth it. You can get it in local record stores in Austin like Waterloo, Sound on Sound, Cheapos, and End of an Ear. Or you can order it from the merch page.

Well, there has been just a ton of good things happening in the world of Gorch Fock since the last update. The lengthy silence on the Gorch Fock News sight can be attributed to the added tasks and commotion added by the development of those good things. The tour went off great. It all started at the April 14th tour kick-off show at Room 710. Gorch Fock became the first band to play their set from the upstairs ever. Everybody crammed into the small space up there and it was pretty frikkin rad. The energy was high with the space so packed and the sound, deafening as it was, was all around pretty good. No P.A., just the amps and joey fucker's little trombone p.a. I think that everyone in attendence would agree that it was definitely not a show to have missed. On the downside, the rock came so heavy that Win a.k.a Winsama cracked several ribs and had to go to the hospital, but not to be daunted, our brave young bass player climbed into the van none the less and trucked off on the tour.
Thanks to everybody who came out to the shows on tour and let us sleep on their floors and who fed us. It wouldn't be possible w/o you. Also no love and for the jerk-off club's that stiffed us entirely...you know who you are (not Trash). And you know that we got mad press for your club in the Village Voice, NY Times, and Time Out NY so fuck you.
We got to play with No Means No in Madison and ton's of love for the High-Noon Saloon. We also got to play with Stinking Lizaveta in Philly. It turns out that we were able to set up a Halloween show with them in New Orleans, so all of those in N.O.L.A. who came out to see us but were chased away by the cops keep Monday October 31st clear because the rock will be brought and despite the holiday it will not be disguised. Gibby Haines showed up to one of our shows in NY. That was pretty cool. We also got to do D.C. through NOLA with our label mates and friends Bleach03. As always jaws hit the floor everywhere when they took the stage.
In other Gorch Fock news, the New record, Lying and Manipulating is doing well in various college radio markets across the country and we want to shout out to those stations that see fit to support our music. Big ups to the following stations for adding us or spinning us into their charts. KVRX - Austin, TX - WORT Madison, WI - WUVT Blacksburg, VA - KWWC Columbia, MO - WTCC Springfield, MA - KBOO Portland OR, WRDP Chicago, IL - and super big ups to WRBB Cambridge, MA MIT Radio - 5 weeks in the top 30 and the number 4 album for April 05 and super props out to KDUR Durango, CO where L & M has been in the Loud Rock top 10 for 6 weeks and currently sits at NUMBER ONE... Also a super huge shout out to Sean out at WMUC College Park Maryland for all of the spins and to Rob Gongora out at KSCU in SF for his help as well. All of you reading this - our record is probably at your local college or community radio station right now. Please request it.
In more good developments for the clan, Australian Cattle God, our new label, has come to an agreement with Carrot Top Distribution to distribute their records. This means that damn near any record store you walk into in this country and many others will be able to stock the record and you will definitely be able to order it through them. We should be getting the record into a lot of those pay download services soon too. We don't have a national street date yet as the label is still ironing out the details with Carrot Top, but the ball is definitely rolling. Australian Cattle God is also re-issuing our first self-titled album, but this one is going to be in jewel cases with inserts and stuff so if you've got one of the screenprinted cover ones you are one of about 600 people in the world that could possibly have one. I think that there might be more of Win's art in the re-issue, but we're still figuring out the lay-out. It should be done by mid-June.
As far as shows go. We're playing at the Texas Roller Derby this coming Sunday (May 29th). Joey's gonna do the Star Spangled Banner at the beginning of the bout and We're gonna be playing the half-time show and it's all gonna be filmed and possibly in an upcoming reality show on A & E about the Roller Derby. We've also got a show coming up on July 15th w Mark D's (former Melvins Bass Player) new band. I think it might be their first show. That ought to be a real whiz bang. We're also going to be doing something with a Texas professional wrestling league in July and a live cable access show in August more details to come. And as always we are planning the next tour. We're talking the Fock out to the West and North East in mid and late August. I don't know if the left coast is ready but they ought to batten down the hatches for sure. Well, I think that that's it for now. Keep checking back for news and more music and pics and video!!!!!!

Hey everyone out there on Earth. A little bit of news to report here. Gorch Fock will be playing Houston this Saturday at the Proletariat We'll be playing with the Jonx and White Whale. The Proletariat treated us well last time and this show promises to be even better. Also the tour for April is booked and the schedule is over on the shows page.

3/27/05
Well, I know its been awhile since the last update, but it's been a busy month in the Gorch Fock Camp. Where to start...well the new Gorch Fock Record, "Lying & Manipulating", is now out. It will be available through our website soon as well as through our new label's site - australiancattlegod.com With postage it's $12. What a frikkin deal! We had the CD release party at Room 710 w/ our favorite lady rockers from Okinawa, Bleach03. The show was packed and I think that everyone in attendance would agree that it was one hell of a show, the Migas graced us with their rock and roll throwdown and the Awesome Cool Dudes started things off with a whacky set that reminded me of my homies from the NW the Volumen That show started one hell of a busy week for Gorch Fock. We played two SXSW showcases as well as a day party and FUck by Fuck YOu. Despite the best attempts of the weather to shut FXFY down, we forged ahead and had one of the best day parties of the week, hands down. The Chronicle treated the Fock right all week w/ a good album review and showcase previews and TCB mentions...the whole nine (all of these will be up on the press page as soon as I can get to it). Thanks to Chris Gray!! In addition we got a pick by one of the staff as their favorite local showcase. Which is pretty dang right on. In other news, the April tour is booked. It will be up on the shows page soon. Hopefully sometime this week. For those out there that we were fortunate enough to meet last time we were on tour, there is good news,Gorch Fock is coming back to most of those same places (Sorry Akron, we couldn't get it done this time, but we are playing Cleveland so come on over for the show!!). Many on the second leg of the tour, after NYC, will be happy to know that Bleach03 will be joining us again from Boston to New Orleans. Well, I guess that's it for now. We're gonna be rockin' Houston again at the Proletariat on APril 9th. Be there...

2/21/05
Come on out and see the documentary made by Tom Alter about the 2004 Election as seen through the Gorch Fock/Bleach03 tour last fall. It is called Ohayo and it is pretty rad. There is some fantastic footage of Bleach03 on the road and it should be a good time. It's happening early so you can catch those killer happy hour prices! Hope to see Everyone there. Check out the shows page for more shows that are newly confirmed and posted.

2/13/05
Gorch Fock would like to thank everyone who attended the Rock show at Beerland last night. Props to those that were able to imbibe one of the last Lone Star Tallboys that were sold at Beerland - The end of an era. We've added a little Track called Chotto Amalgum to the downloads page. It's Jeff and Jason and Win messin around with sound. Check it out. There are no more new Gorch Fock shows to report until SXSW. However the new Record will be out on March 15th, 2005 and is being released by Gorch Fock's new Label Australian Cattle God Records Gorch Fock will be playing the release party on March 15th at Room 710 w BLEACH03 (formerly known as Bleach, Okinawa Japan) who will also be releasing their record in the US on the same label. We're also in the process of booking a tour with them for mid and late April so be on the look out America Gorch Fock is on the way.

2/7/05
Gorch Fock has triumphantly returned from yet another assault on our neighbors to the south, Houston. We played the Proletariat off of Montrose with The Jonx, Knottwork & The Slurpees and the show was a real champaigne Jam.
Also, thanks to Hellfire Entertainment who did a lot of groundwork for the show Gorch Fock has another show on the way at Beer Land on Red River in Austin. We haven't played ther since our FIRST SHOW and it'll be a triumphant return of sorts. We'll be playing with La Manch who rule.
In other News the new Gorch Fock record "Lying and Manipulating" will be out on March 15tth, 2005 on new Austin Label Australian Cattle God Records. The release party is on the 15th at Room 710 with BLEACH03, formerly known in the U.S. as Bleach and Bleachmobile. Legal issues cause them to change their name, but you know who they are. They are releasing a U.S. Release of their record on the same label, family members Tia Carrera will be playing as well. This is gonna be a do-not-miss show. New Record, New Songs...
best wishes - Gorch Fock

1/31/05
Well everybody, it's been a long month for Gorch Fock with lots of activity. We are Happy to say that the new record will be out before SXSW. Gorch Fock will be having a dual release party with our good friends Bleach from Okinawa at Room 710 on Tuesday March 15th, the night before SXSW actually kicks off. We and Bleach will be releasing our new records on a new Austin label called Australian Cattle God Records and it should be a great arrangement. We just played at the Proletariat in Houston and had a great time. Slowly but surely Gorch Fock will take Houston down, one rickety broken stage at a time. We've got a show coming up at Beerland, our first since our first show, w/ La Mancha and more TBA on Saturday February 12th. Other than that, we've posted a video clip of the Parish show with Biscuit. It's us and him covering White Rabbit...lot's of fun. You can see it here. Well until next time...

1/9/05
Happy New Year everyone!!!
Thanks to Everybody who came out to the show at Emo's on Wed. The place was packed and the the energy was high. It's going to be Friday January 14th at the Parish on Sixth street with The Attack Formation and Attic Ted. Lori is going to be projecting and Randal "Biscuit" Turner, of the Big Boys, is going to be sitting in with Gorch Fock to deliver vocals for part of the set on some very special tunes. Fock has also confirmed another Austin show in February. Beerland will host Gorch Fock and La Mancha on Saturday February 12th more TBA. If you happen to be a Fock fan down Houston way, you won't have to wait much longer. A show at the Proletariat has been confirmed for Saturday January 29th. More details on other bands will follow shortly. In record news the new album is slated for release in Early March on a new Austin Label called Cattle God Records. It also looks like Transponder, from Columbia, Mo, might be added to Fuck by Fuck You. It is really shaping up to be a killer rock show so far. That's all for now...

12/30/04
The Gorch Fock Shows are right around the corner and both are gonna be great. On the Wednesday January 5th Gorch Fock be playing at Emo's for FREE WEEK and headlining that show. Under 21 $5. Lori is going to be manning the projectors and blowing minds along with the heavy rocking and Fock will be in full 7 member effect cuz he's back from LA and ready to play. The show at the Parish on Friday January 14th is gonna have some twists as well. Biscuit of the Big Boys is going to grace the Parish stage and Lori will be spinning the celluloid on most vertical surfaces. There are gonna be som ecool cover tunes thrown into the mix from the obscure to the ... In addition, the word is in - Gorch Fock has been invited to SXSW 2005 in March. There is no word on dates or line-ups yet, but Saturday March 19th will be Fuck By Fuck You #7 at Gallery Lombardi on 3rd St. This promises to be a Grand time as the free beer will flow and the legend will grow as bands from all over the country and the world will perform on the most Rocking loading dock in the metro area and possibly the world. So far things are still in the works but Gorch Fock, Bleach (Okinawa, Japan) and The International Playboys are confirmed to play with many more added as bands around the world continue to get their invitations to SXSW. No word on whether the documentary of the tour has been accepted into the film portion of the festival. Fingers Crossed.

Hello All - A little bit of news on the Gorch Fock Front. Preparations are continuing on the new record at full speed. Expect another pre-release mp3 soon and a special rendition of Neil Young's "Ohio" to be posted on the sounds page. Also, Win and Tom (Wageslave films) have the rough edit done of "OHAYO" which is the title of the documentary that was filmed on the last tour. We'll let you know if and when there is a public screening in the future and we're gonna post a few snippets as well and the official trailer once it's complete. There are two new Austin Shows booked. Come one come all and we'll ahave a real hoot...I swear.

11/15/04
Hey everybody. Not much going on at the Gorch Fock camp lately. Working on the New Record and taking time of for the Holidays. The images page has been completely re-done. If somebody sees a photo there that they took Please Let Me Know So You Can Have Credit. The new photo gallery is a little different format. I think it works better. Some of the photos are not new, but there is a lot of stuff from the tour. Right now there is more live stuff of Bleach and more candid stuff of Gorch Fock, but Bleach is now done with the Japanese part of their tour and will be sending us some live shots of Gorch. Also there will be lots new video snippets and stuff on the way. In other Gorch Fock news Tom Alter (Wageslave films) and Win have been editing the footage from the tour into a documetary that they are going to submit to the SXSW Film Festival. Wish 'em luck!

11/7/04
The room 710 was a real Wizzbanger. Halo Rings Her Head and Areola 51 really threw down and there were many smiling faces in attendance. Thanks to all of those who came and a big "dude, you missed it!" to those who did not. Saturday's show at the Tetanus Farm was equally Badass. Halo played again and the Gorch Fock boys gave it the real "Helloween" treatment. For those of you concerned about Joey's gaping gory stomach wound, I'm pleased to tell you that he is recovering well in a hospital room in France right next to Yassar Arafat, who apparently, despite being in a coma, still snores like a sumbitch.
Well, work continues on the new record and the boys are gonna be taking November relatively easy. There are no upcoming shows as of now, but you'll be first to know when they are back up and running. After 4800 miles of pure, unadulterated Gorch Fock Rock'n, all of the rock related body parts need a break.
In other news, the "Gorch Fock: Live at CBGB's" DVD is now available and will be represented on the Merchadise page soon for a measly $12.00 US plus shipping. WHAT A DEAL!!!!
Also, New Press & Press Photos added to the Press page. Check back soon for the complete tour documentation on the Road page...
Also - for those who have asked, the art page will be coming sooner than later...trying to get really good images...Sorry.

10/25/04
Everyone's back from the Road and Gorch Fock is in the studio tonight gettin' busy on some new material either to be added to "lying and Manipulating" or perhaps for another record. There is more stuff from the road up now and more will be following over the course of the next week. Gorch Fock will be playing TWO SHOWS THIS WEEKEND!!!! Friday night at Room 710 with Areola 51 and a Halloween party on Saturday night at the dead end of South 7th st in Austin...Wear something scary and get a Gorch Fock bookmark. Look for a tour diary article to be in an upcoming Rank and Revue with additional supplementary materials for the printed version here on the web site.

10/20/04
New stuff on the Road page. Check it out. There probably won't be anymore updates until after the tour is over as good ol Fock1 is goin' to Birmingham tomorrow to catch the rest of the shows. Look for a complete tour diary with lots of pics, video, and words next week. Also there's gonna be a big tour diary thing in Rank and Revue soon. Keep your eyes peeledl!

10/17/04
More road pics added. Check'em out

10/12/04
I've just gotten some new stuff from the guys on the road. A little video snippet and some pics. We'll be updating it as often as they send me stuff. check it out HERE

10/12/04
I'm getting updates from the band and am going to be posting them here as soon as they come in for the rest of tour. -- Fock1
Brian said-
"st.louis we played for like ten people and it was rad. we were sloppy, bleach was great. The sound guy there was the best we have ever had. he even had a mullet. The party afterwards at Jimmy Rattlesnakes bad-ass house was more mentionable..... slow cooked beef bbq, case of Stag, homemade slaw.... it was awesome, and Tom got a lot of great snoring footage. Madison The club was very big and nice. Big stage, big sound system. We totally partied after the set, a little before. They gave us free beer called Huber, and it was very, very bad. The show was crazy, Bleach said we played a long set which they enjoyed. It was the first time that Bleach drank so far on tour... they had quite a few and then we all partied in Konoske's hotel room. 9 guys in a room. oh, 8 guys, jeff slept in the van. joey gets demerits for leaving the van in the parking lot WIDE OPEN, but nothing appears to be missing"

10/9/04
A little bit more news. I got bored and made a GORCH FOCK Forum. Join it. Or don't.

10/7/04
Despite the Melvins not playing on Wednesday night, the show was great, thanks to everyone who came out and supported us and Bleach. Bleach ROCKED! They also rocked super hard at their own show at Room 710
on Thursday night. Last night the Tour played it's first road gig at Bar of Soap in Dallas. It's this funky little dive that is also a laundromat/arcade right across the street from the Cotton Bowl. The kind of little joint where the bands play at the front of the room, on the floor, in the front window, and try not to injure people as they unsuspectingly come through the door. The show was good, but I think that not wanting to mess with all of the State Fair goers in the vicinity kept a lot of folks out. Those who were there however knew that it was worth the trouble. A good time was had by all. Everybody saddled up right after the show and headed out to Columbia, MO to play at the East Side Tavern...more to come...

Well, the Melvins cancelled their tour due to an illness, but don't let that stop you from coming down to Emo's anyway and seeing Gorch Fock. Also, the show in Houston on the 23rd got moved back across the street to Walter's. Go Figure. In other Gorch Fock news the D.C. show got cancelled, but all is not lost. Those in the D.C. area can hear Gorch Fock play on WMUC from midnight to two on Monday Oct. 18th. They might even say a few words about stuff.

Gorch played last night with Black Dice and the Animal Collective at Emo's. Thanks to everyone who came out to see the show
there was a good crowd and I think everyone had a great time. All seven members were in town and it was nice.
That was the first time since Taco Land in July. Also Lori Surfer was on hand to add her special brand of visual debauchery to the delight of all. Especially that kid in the red shirt. I think my favorite clip was the group of sailors doing a jig. Very Nice.
Also, just confirmed, Madison, WI will be blown out on the 11th of October as Gorch Fock and Bleach
work it at the High-Noon Saloon. We've also added two music videos to the downloads section
